Eligibility and Your Account
You must be at least 18, or have the permission of a parent or guardian, to place an order. If you create an account you are responsible for keeping your password to yourself and for everything done under your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has access to it.
Products, Availability and Pricing
All orders are subject to availability. We describe and photograph our products as accurately as we can, but packaging, labelling and appearance change from batch to batch, and colours vary between screens. Weights shown for fresh and butchered items are approximate; the price you pay may be adjusted to the weight actually supplied, and we will tell you if it is.
Prices are shown in the store currency and may change without notice. If a product is listed at a clearly incorrect price, we may cancel the order and refund you in full rather than supply at that price.
Orders
Your order is an offer to buy. A confirmation email or text acknowledges that we received it; the contract is formed when we accept the order and begin preparing it. We may decline or cancel an order — for example where an item is out of stock, where we cannot verify your details, or where we suspect fraud — and will refund anything already paid.
Payment
We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. Where cash on delivery is offered, payment is due in full when the order is handed over. Where bank transfer is offered, we prepare the order once payment has cleared. Card payments are handled by our payment processor; we never see or store your full card number.
Pickup, Curbside and Delivery
Delivery windows and pickup times are estimates, not guarantees, and depend on weather, traffic and stock. Check your address and phone number carefully before you submit an order; we are not responsible for an order delivered to an address you gave us incorrectly.
For pickup and curbside orders, please collect within the window shown. Perishable goods not collected may be disposed of, and we cannot refund them.
Perishable Goods, Returns and Refunds
Fresh meat, dairy, produce and other perishable or temperature-sensitive items cannot be returned once they have left the store, for food-safety reasons. This does not affect your rights where goods are damaged, spoiled on arrival, or not what you ordered.
If something is wrong with your order, contact us within 24 hours of receiving it, with a photograph where possible, and we will replace it or refund it. Non-perishable, unopened items in their original packaging may be returned within the period stated on our returns page. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
Halal Assurance
We source and describe our meat as Zabihah Halal in good faith, relying on the certifications and assurances given to us by our suppliers. Where a specific certification matters to you, ask us before you order and we will tell you what we have.
Text Messages
If you give us your mobile number and agree, we will send you messages about your order, and — only with your separate, express consent — occasional offers. Consent is not a condition of purchase, message and data rates may apply, message frequency varies, and you can stop at any time by replying STOP or HELP for help. The full terms are in our SMS Opt-In Policy, which forms part of these terms.
We send transactional email — confirmations, receipts, password resets — for as long as you have an account or an open order, because they are part of the service. Marketing email is sent only if you subscribed, and every one carries an unsubscribe link.
Acceptable Use
Do not use this site to break the law, to interfere with its operation or security, to scrape it automatically, to place fraudulent orders, or to post content that is unlawful, abusive or infringes someone else’s rights. We may suspend or close an account that does.
Reviews and Content You Submit
Reviews and other content you post must be your own, honest, and about a product you actually bought. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive right to display, reproduce and moderate that content on our site. We may remove anything that breaches these terms.
Intellectual Property
The site, its design, text, logos and photographs belong to us or to our licensors, and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may use them to shop with us and for nothing else without our written permission.
Disclaimers
The site is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we do not warrant that product information, allergen information or ingredient lists supplied to us by manufacturers are complete or current. If you have a food allergy or intolerance, always read the physical packaging before you consume a product.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Indemnity
You agree to hold us harmless against claims and costs arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the site.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland and the United States of America, and the courts of Maryland have jurisdiction over any dispute.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published here at the time you place your order, and the date at the top of this page is the date of the most recent change.
